Saporito was born from time spent in Artena, a small, mountainous medieval village in the Lazio region of Italy, where food is not rushed and meals are never just about eating. In Artena, cooking happens slowly and together—hands floured at the kitchen table, recipes shared by feel rather than measurement, and stories woven into every dish.

Meals in Artena stretch long into the afternoon and evening. Wine flows through conversations, songs rise without announcement, and stories—some old, some repeated, some newly remembered — are shared around the table. There is laughter, familiarity, and the quiet comfort of being exactly where you are meant to be.
